Jumbo Yo-Yo’s for Ornaments

We had a great time making Jumbo Yo-Yo’s for our shop Christmas tree.  We coordinated it with our lovely house quilt.  Here is Judy’s December house as well.  We hope your Thanksgiving was bountiful and peaceful.

Judy’s November House and Old Town Quilters Guild meeting

Judy’s November house using Marti Michelle’s Schoolhouse template set.  Also, Julie Thomason and Anita Smythe presented a color workshop for the Old Town Quilters Guild and Renny Jaeger showed her latest hand quilted applique quilt with over 400 berries qppliqued.

First Jan Krentz workshop quilt

Kathryn Zimmerman finished her Spiral Lone Star from Jan’s recent workshop.  Kathryn remarked that Jan’s CD helped her to finish the project after she had gone home.  CD’s are great aids, if available, to refresh instructions received in a workshop.  Sally Collins’ CD is another good example.  Thses CDs and others are available in our shop.

Fun in Houston

Paula Nadelstern and Mary Lou Weidman enjoy a ride in the decorated golf cart used by the Houston Parks department for maintenance.  Now that is a “ride.”  More on Quilt Market “finds”  later.
